Dr. Raouf Hilal is a Board Certified Gastroenterologist, received his B.S degree in biochemistry at the College of Charleston, SC, in 1992, and his medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston in 1996. He is an active member of FACG. He finished his Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology residency at Baylor College Medical Center in Houston, TX in 2002. His career has been distinguished by multiple awards. Dr. Raouf Hilal is a Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is an active member of the AGA, ACG, ASGE, and Florida Gastro Society. He specializes in Gastro-Esophageal disorders, ulcer disease, cancer of the GI tract, and liver disease. He has special skills in therapeutic ERCP procedures.
Dr. Andria Mushahwar is a board certified Gastroenterologist. He received his B.S. degree in Chemistry at George Washington University, Washington DC. In 1999 he graduated from The George Washington University medical school. He is an active member of FACG.
He completed his internal medicine residency at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN in 2002. In 2005, he completed his gastroenterology Fellowship at the University of Louisville, KY. His career has been distinguished with several awards including the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease AASLD advanced Hepatology fellowship. Dr. Mushahwar conducted Hepatology research at Vanderbilt University Medical center in Nashville TN.
Dr. Mushahwar is a diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is a fellow of the American college of gastroenterology, and fellow of the American society of gastrointestinal endoscopy. He is active member of the AGA, FGS, and Seminole County Medical Society.
He specializes in Gastro-esophageal disorders, Irritable bowel Disease, Inflammatory bowel disease, cancer of the GI tract, and liver disease.
Dr. Quagliata received his undergraduate education at Boston College in Chestnut Hill, MA where he studied Biology and Sociology. After completing additional postgraduate medical studies at Semmelweis University of Medicine in Budapest, Hungary, he received his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY. He is an active member of FACG.
He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Sound Shore Medical Center in New Rochelle, NY and his Fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology through New York Hospital-Columbia Presbyterian health System. He is board certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine and is an active member of the AGA, ACG, AMA, ASGE, and Florida Gastro Society. He specializes in Gastrointestinal cancers, Viral hepatitis, and Therapeutic Endoscopy.
Dr. Panzarella is an honors graduate of Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus. He received his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, where he graduated cum laude. He subsequently completed his internship, Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, NY. While there, he also served as Chief Medical Resident.
In addition to General Gastroenterology, Dr. Panzarella has a special interest in Colorectal Cancer Screening and General Hepatology. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Gastroenterological Association. In his spare time, Dr. Panzarella enjoys spending time with his wife and twin sons. He joined CFAGI in 2017, after almost 4 years of private practice with Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates.
Demittre Sorenson, PA-C
Demittre is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in gastroenterology. He received his B.S. degree at the University of South Florida graduating magna cum laude. He then acquired his Masters of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Florida. During this time he served as the UF Pre-PA Chair and was a member of the UF Surgery Club. He previously worked with a Hematology/Oncology practice prior to joining CFAGI in 2022.
Yasmin D. Gonzalez, APRN
Yasmin Gonzalez, APRN is a Nurse Practitioner specializing in gastroenterology. She received a degree in Nursing, summa cum laude, from the University of the Sacred Heart in San Juan, P.R. and an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse degree from South University in Savannah, GA., where she graduated with high honors.
Before immigrating to the US in 2013, she received a medical doctor degree from Carlos J. Finlay College of Medical Sciences in Camaguey, Cuba and worked for two years as a doctor in Cuba and Venezuela.
In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband, children, and stepchildren.
